The US is hosting a climate summit on April 22 and 23, where the Biden administration is widely expected to announce a new target for cutting climate-warming emissions. His administration has been scrambling to figure out just how much it’s possible to cut emissions by the end of the decade. And Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry has been traveling the world — in the middle of a pandemic — to push other countries to make commitments, too.
