How an island in Thailand is luring tourists back

As COVID-19 continues ravaging the world, certain places in Asia have stood out as success stories. Among them: Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand. But that doesn’t mean they’re not hurting. Thailand, in particular, has an economy reliant on tourism — but with hardly any travelers coming, people are out of work and desperate. The World’s Patrick Winn reports on a Thai island seeking a creative way to lure back foreigners — without bringing in COVID-19.
