Voters have their say in Ecuador and Peru

Voters in Ecuador have elected a conservative businessman as their new president. Several hundred people cheered on as Guillermo Lasso prepared to give his victory speech on Sunday night. Meanwhile, in neighboring Peru, it wasn’t immediately clear which two candidates would advance to that country’s second round of voting for president.
