After 10 years of conflict, tens of thousands of Syrian civilians sit in the country’s prisons. Wafa Mustafa’s father Ali was detained in 2013. She’s never heard from him since and is unsure whether he’s alive or dead. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Wafa about her father’s disappearance and the advocacy work she’s done to raise awareness about this issue ever since.
