Ramsey Clark took deeply unpopular positions as US attorney general in the late 1960s, standing his ground for civil rights, and opposing the Vietnam War. As The World's Rupa Shenoy reports, in later years, he became a strident anti-war activist, earning accolades abroad, but also puzzling many by representing war criminals like Saddam Hussein.
