The world’s most-expensive traffic jam is over

The world’s most expensive traffic jam is finally easing up after the Ever Given ship was dislodged from the Suez Canal in Egypt. This is good news for the world’s maritime industry, but it could still take days for the hundreds of ships waiting to enter the canal to continue their journeys. And while they wait, there are serious piracy and other security threats at sea. Host Carol Hills speaks with Dirk Siebels from Risk Intelligence, a Denmark-based security intelligence company. He also recently published a book called, “Maritime Security in East and West Africa: A Tale of Two Regions.”
