Long before Wuhan became known as the city where the first cases of the coronavirus were found, it had built a very different reputation. Wuhan has been a hotbed of punk and indie rock for 25 years now. Rebecca Kanthor visited Wuhan and talked to some of the city’s best-known bands about the impact of the pandemic on the live music scene.
