The pandemic’s widening toll on kids 

The pandemic is especially impacting children across the globe. As of this month, more than 200 million children are fully out of school and remote. That represents about 1 in 8 learners, according to UNESCO. Harvard University’s Meira Levinson and Marc Lipsitch warn it’s only exacerbating inequalities across the globe.
