UK leaves Europe and ends the Erasmus student exchange program

Britain finally severed ties with the European Union on New Year’s Day. Leaving the EU also marked the end of the Erasmus exchange program, which allowed students to live and study in any other EU country for a year. For many Europeans, Erasmus was seen as a rite of passage. The World’s Europe correspondent Orla Barry reports from London.
