UK takes bold, risky move to fight pandemic

The UK became the first country in the world to grant emergency approval to a coronavirus vaccine created by the University of Oxford and British-Swedish multinational pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. The vaccine’s trials had a rocky rollout and haven’t been known for transparency. But the University of Southampton’s Micheal Head tells The World’s Marco Werman that the vaccine’s approval is a game-changer in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
