Around the globe, communities are bracing for new surges in COVID-19, from Spain to Israel. Most of the world remains susceptible to the virus, even in already hard-hit places. But a country's actions can make all the difference in what happens next, and whether a surge takes hold, says Yonatan Grad, an infectious disease specialist at Harvard University.
