The news that Donald Trump contracted COVID-19 resonated throughout the world, including in China where the virus was first detected. On Saturday, state media reported that President Xi Jinping and his wife had sent their best wishes to Trump and the First Lady, but reaction elsewhere in China was more diverse in opinion.
