Neutral Switzerland to vote on fighter jet deal

The World

Switzerland will hold a referendum on Sunday to determine whether to spend over $6 billion on a new fleet of fighter jets. Supporters of the plan say it’s time to modernize the Swiss air defense, while opponents ask who the jets will be used against, as the country hasn’t fought in a war in over 200 years. Host Marco Werman speaks with Thomas Bruchez, political secretary for the Group for a Switzerland without an army (GSsA), which forced the referendum.
