Israel welcomed the new Jewish year with a heavy heart Friday as it enters its second nationwide lockdown since the pandemic began. With a patchwork lockdown plan, many Israelis remain confused about the dos and don’ts, and some admit openly their plans to go around the rules and have large family dinners.
