In China, a lot of food goes to waste. By one estimate, the amount of food thrown away in China every year could feed 30 to 50 million people. The government in Beijing wants to do something about it — and that’s what “Operation Empty Plate” is all about. The World’s China correspondent Rebecca Kanthor reports from Shanghai.
