Scottish comedians say it’s time to take comedy seriously

People around the world have been leaning on comedy to help them through 2020. But comedians, themselves, are saying they aren’t getting the necessary support to make it through the pandemic. In Scotland, a coalition of comedy industry workers called the Association of Scottish Comedic Arts has asked the government for immediate financial support; the industry, they said, is on the brink of collapsing. An announcement from Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland's First Minister, on Friday, is a cause for celebration. The World's Bianca Hillier reports.
