The coronavirus pandemic is not letting up anytime soon. Daily case counts and deaths continue to set records across the globe. It has meant all hands on deck, from scientists to health workers. But the singular focus on preventing COVID-19 is having a secondary impact, threatening years of progress in slowing the spread of other communicable diseases. As The World’s Elana Gordon reports, local and global health groups are now having to reassess and adapt to this new COVID-19 reality, to prevent losing critical ground in the face of other threats.
