New penguin colonies spotted from space

Satellite images show that there are nearly 20% more emperor penguin colonies than previously thought on the icy continent of Antarctica. Peter Fretwell, a geographer at the British Antarctic Survey, says they are able to spot colonies based on what they leave behind: bright reddish-brown guano.
