UK bans Huawei from Britain’s 5G network

The British government is barring the purchase of any new 5G equipment from Huawei beginning in 2021. And UK telecommunications networks must strip all Huawei components from their 5G networks by 2027. Nigel Inkster, senior adviser to the International Institute for Strategic Studies and former director of operations and intelligence at Britain’s MI6 intelligence service, discusses the decision with The World’s Carol Hills.
