Protests in Russia’s far east region

The World

Citizens of the Khabarovsk region of Russia’s far east have been protesting for four days now. The protests began after the popular governor of Khabarovsk, Sergei Furgal, was arrested and flown to Moscow for integration. Furgal is being charged with murder and attempted murder in a 15-year-old case, but most protesters and supporters are skeptical and believe that the arrest was political in nature. The World’s Daniel Ofman reports.
