In Iran, a rare online protest went viral this week, calling for the end of the death penalty there. The Persian hashtag Don’t Execute was tweeted nearly 5 million times. It came in response to three young men, Amirhossein Moradi, Mohammad Rajabi and Saeed Tamjid, convicted in connection to mass protests in Iran last November. Iran’s judiciary suggested it may halt their executions. Host Carol Hills speaks with Peyman Jafari, who researches Iran at Princeton University.
