Djibouti band releases global album for first time in country’s history

New music is being recorded and released around the world every day. But for the first time, an album has come from the Republic of Djibouti. Djibouti was once known as French Somaliland, and its people gained their independence 43 years ago. These new recordings are on the album, “The Dancing Devils of Djibouti.” Vik Sohonie, who co-produced the record, speaks to Marco Werman about it.
