The coronavirus pandemic continues to shed light on unsafe working conditions across industries considered essential. First, we saw the impact on the meat-packing industry in the US and Europe. Cramped working conditions meant workers fell ill, plants were closed and meat was in short supply. Now, the seafood processing industry in the US, which heavily relies on migrant workers, is facing similar problems. The World’s Daisy Contreras reports.
