France extends lockdown

While President Donald Trump clashed with US governors over East Coast and West Coast states’ plans to reopen the economy, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France will remain under lockdown until May 11 — four more weeks. At that point, Macron says that some schools and workplaces will gradually reopen. Non-European borders will remain closed.
