On Sunday, Moscow residents got a four-hour notice before the city went under a sweeping quarantine. This order from Moscow’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin came just days after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a week-long, paid, stay-at-home “holiday.” Russians have received mixed messages in terms of the severity of COVID-19 in their country. As Russia goes into crisis mode, Putin has gone notably silent. Host Marco Werman speaks with reporter Charles Maynes who joins from Moscow.
