The Canadian province of Ontario ran a pilot program for universal basic income, where the government gave a small number of low-income residents fixed payments with no strings attached. The program was canceled prematurely. Canadian economists have released a report about its impact. Host Marco Werman speaks to Wayne Lewchuk, an economics professor at McMaster University.
