The Taliban has ended its partial truce with the US. Taliban officials say they’re resuming military operations after Afghanistan’s government rejected the timeline for a prisoner swap. Mahbouba Seraj, a women’s rights advocate in Kabul, tells The World’s Marco Werman the peace process was flawed from the beginning because it lacked grassroots participation.
