About 90% of the active ingredients used by US companies in drug manufacturing come from China. That's been the case for a number of years, but the coronavirus outbreak has put that dependence under scrutiny. Congress is now taking up the issue as pharmacies and hospitals brace for shortages because of disrupted production in China. Marco Werman talks with Rosemary Gibson, author of “China RX: Exposing the Risks of America's Dependence on China for Medicine.”
