 The COVID-19 outbreak is an unprecedented situation, with millions of people in lockdown in China, travel in some cases suspended and borders closed across parts of the world. Amy Pope is deeply familiar with the challenges a situation like this presents. She was the deputy Homeland Security adviser at the White House during the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with her about the politics and policies of movement in times of a new disease threat, and the lessons learned from the past.
