Turkish and Syrian government troops have traded fire in recent days, further raising tensions. Shawnee State University history professor Amr al-Azm, an archeologist who fled Syria, tells The World’s Marco Werman that civilians have few options, since Turkey has closed its border to those fleeing bombardments.
