Jury selection has begun in the trial of Roger Stone, a political operator close to Donald Trump. Stone is charged with lying to Congress, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. He is pleading not guilty. During the 2016 election campaign, Stone presented himself as a conduit to Wikileaks, which was releasing hacked documents damaging to Trump’s rival, Hillary Clinton.
