WhatsApp says it knows who was behind a massive cyber attack last spring: an Israeli-based cyber intelligence company called NSO. Whatsapp has filed a complaint in federal court against NSO, accusing it of installing malware to spy on users’ phones. Host Carol Hills speaks with John Scott-Railton, a senior researcher at Citizen Lab at the University of Toronto, who’s helped WhatsApp chase down the source of the attack.
