The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed with the Nobel Peace Prize for leading Ethiopia and neighboring Eritrea to sign a peace accord after 20 years of tension between the two nations. As a result, flights between Ethiopia and Eritrea resumed after 20 years of isolation.
