Court puts Kenya’s first ever coal power plant on hold

An environmental tribunal in Kenya ruled that the country’s first ever coal plant has to be put on hold. Local residents and environmentalists oppose the plant because of health concerns and the possibility that it could threaten the area’s ecosystem.
