Sweden’s new sexual consent law

A new law in Sweden that takes effect July 1 outlaws sex not based on mutual consent. That means it will no longer be necessary to prove violence or the threat of violence to obtain a rape or sexual assault conviction. But what does consent mean and how do you prove the presence or lack of it in a court of law? Marco Werman speaks with Sara Backstrom, the senior legal adviser for the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education in Stockholm.
