Trump sends troops to the border

Advanced elements of the US Army have arrived on the border with Mexico, as part of a deployment of 5,200 regular troops. The Trump administration says the border needs defending against a large group of migrants traveling north in Mexico on their way to the US. Democrats have criticized the move as an expensive, unnecessary stunt ahead of the midterms.
