The 22 buoys on the seafloor that detect tsunamis off Indonesia have not worked for six years. But Indonesia has a new early warning system under development that might have raised the alarm on Friday.  Marco Werman speaks with Keenan Ball, an engineer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts, who helped install the prototype.
