Spain works to predict swine flu spread (4:00)

Outside of North America, Spain is the country most affected by the swine flu. Scientists there are trying to answer a fundamental question about the H1N1 virus: For each person infected, how many more are likely to become infected? Answering this question will help epidemiologists predict how far and how quickly the virus will spread. The World's Gerry Hadden reports.

In Egypt, the government has responded to the swine flu outbreak by ordering the slaughter of all of the country's pigs. Residents of one Cairo slum say the move will do nothing to protect Egyptians from the virus, even as it destroys their livelihood. Aya Batrawy reports from Cairo.
