Matthew Bell spends much of his time reporting on breaking news stories from The World's newsroom in Boston. He joined The World back in 2001. And since then, Matthew has filed stories from across the US on issues ranging from presidential politics to immigration to military affairs. He has done extensive reporting from places abroad, including Belfast, Berlin, Jerusalem, London, Seoul and Shanghai. Matthew also hosts the podcast, American Influence, focused on US foreign policy and global politics; and he writes the blog, The World from Eagle Hill. Matthew is from Vermont. He lives in East Boston and in his copious free time (when he's not being husband and father), he's been working to perfect his jump shot.
