Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her Czech counterpart signed an agreement today to build part of a missile defense system near Prague. Russia responded with a warning that it will respond with military means if the Czech parliament ratifies the agreement. Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks with Lawrence Korb, an Assistant Secretary of Defense under President Reagan.

The World's Quil Lawrence reports on Iran's complex role in Afghanistan. The Iranian government has programs to help poor Afghans, and says it wants to help Afghanistan develop. But the US government says Iran is also trying to increase its influence in Afghanistan, and supplying weapons to the Taliban.
