The World's Marco Werman profiles two musicians who are taking part in the annual South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. Dutch blues guitarist Joep Pelt and blues guitarist Lobi Traore from Mali recorded a CD together. It's due out in the United States this spring.

After 40 years at Dartmouth, James Wright has decided to step down to dedicate himself full-time to counseling wounded veterans about going to college.

Anchor Katy Clark speaks with Senator Jim Webb of Virginia about his proposal to expand the educational benefits given to veterans. The original GI Bill sent millions of veterans to college -- all expenses paid. Veterans today are offered far less. Senator Webb has introduced a bill in the Senate to change that.

More than 500 villagers were killed

This weekend will mark the 40th anniversary of the My Lai Massacre. That refers to the killing of hundreds of civilians by U.S. soldiers in the Vietnamese village of My Lai in March 1968. It was one of the most controversial incidents of the Vietnam War. Gil Halsted reports on how a group of Quakers from Wisconsin has worked with the people of My Lai to overcome the pain and suffering caused by the killings.

Lorne Matalon reports on how Mexico's push to fight drug-trafficking is affecting the country's human rights record. Mexico's Army is taking the lead in this war on drugs, but critics say that's leading to human rights violations.

Anchor Katy Clark speaks with Jerald O'Kennard director of the Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago, about a plan to officially expand the region of France where "champagne" with a capital "C" can be produced. The French wine industry's approved the plan as a way to meet growing demand for the bubbly drink.

The World's Quil Lawrence reports from Tehran on today's Iranian parliamentary elections. The outcome is not in doubt, since the Iranian government barred hundreds of reformer candidates from running.
