Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks with Aye Chan Naing, chief editor of a Burmese news organization based in Oslo. It calls itself the Democratic Voice of Burma.

More than 200,000 people died and nearly 50,000 went missing during Guatemala's 30-year civil war. The country's brutal dictatorship kept records of it all. But no one knew that until the archives were accidentally recovered just two years ago. Now a massive project is underway to digitize millions of documents from Guatemala's darkest days. The World's Clark Boyd reports

A new BBC poll conducted in 21 countries found that most people think it's critical to combat global warming now. That includes a majority in China. The World's Mary Kay Magistad reports from Beijing.

President Bush is hosting a meeting on global warming in Washington on Thursday. He's invited 15 "major emitter" countries, including China and India, to discuss ways to address climate change. But many experts question whether anything will come of the president's summit. The World's Jason Margolis reports.
