Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks to reporter Orlando de Guzman about his experiences in the Indonesian province of Aceh. Back in 2003, de Guzman covered the civil war in Aceh and the human rights abuses committed by Indonesian soldiers there. The civil war came to an end after Aceh was hit hard by the 2004 tsunami. De Guzman has now returned to see how people are coping, and how the search for justice is going in Aceh.

Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks with the BBC's Jim Muir about questions surrounding a US led battle in a village north of Baghdad. US officials say American forces killed 17 al-Qaeda members last Friday in the village of al-Khalis. But residents of the village say the men who were killed were local guards not al-Qaeda.

Members of the so called Quartet on the Middle East are expected to appoint Tony Blair as its new envoy. The group, which is made up of the United States, the United Nations, the European Union, and Russia, met in Jerusalem today for the first time since Hamas took over Gaza. The World's Jeb Sharp reports.


Listen CIA releases secret misconduct files (5:00)

The CIA today released hundreds of pages of long-secret records that detail some of the agency's worst illegal abuses during about 25 years of overseas assassination attempts, domestic spying, and kidnapping. The National Security Archive requested the release of the documents under the Freedom of Information Act. Thomas Blanton is its director. He speaks with anchor Lisa Mullins.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN, is meeting this week in Puerto Rico. ICANN sets the rules that govern Internet addresses, like the ones that end in "dot-com" or "dot-org." The World's Clark Boyd reports that ICANN is under pressure to "internationalize" domain names. That would involve, for example, allowing domain names to be written in Arabic or Chinese characters.

Correspondent Dorian Jones reports on mounting tensions between Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq and the Turkish military. The Kurds have been crossing the border into southeastern Turkey to stage raids. Now the Turks are fighting back.
