The World's Gerry Hadden reports from Spain that the Basque separatist group, ETA, has announced the end of its self-declared ceasefire. The government of Spain is under attack for having pursued peace talks with the group, only to be rebuffed.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn is perhaps the best-known Russian dissident of the Soviet era. Ironically, he's just been given an award by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ironically, because Putin once worked for the same KGB security apparatus that persecuted Solzhenitsyn. The World's Alex Gallafent looks at how the seemingly opposite backgrounds of Solzhenitsyn and Putin come together in the name of Russian nationalism.

The World's Jason Margolis reports on President Bush's European trip. Today in Prague, Mr. Bush sought to reassure Moscow that a planned U-S missile defense system in Europe is not aimed at Russia. The president said he would take that message to the G-8 summit in Germany.
