In the 60's, when Latino musicians in Los Angeles discovered soul music, the term "brown-eyed soul" was born. A revival of the genre is taking place, thanks to one of the world's greatest conga players. Anchor Marco Werman has the story.

In today's Geo Quiz, we were looking for the "oldest continuously-occupied European-established city" in the United States. The answer is St. Augustine, Florida. It was founded in 1565, 42 years before the settlement in Jamestown.

Sally Goodrich lost her son in the September 11th attacks. To honor his memory, she raised money to build a girls school in Afghanistan. Last month, she journeyed from her home in Bennington, Vermont to the school. Boston Globe reporter Charles Sennott went along.
