When Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan arrest suspected enemy fighters they routinely turn them over to Afghan authorities. Critics say prisoners are being tortured while in Afghan jails and they say the Canadians aren't doing enough to prevent the abuse. Reporter Derek Stoffel is with Canadian troops in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar and has this report.

We all agree that in order to check the spread of global warming we must drastically decrease the flow of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Now a new process called carbon sequestration calls for actually removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The World's Jason Margolis takes a look at one way of doing this and he has this report.

Today in Bangkok the United Nations released its third and final report showing that climate change is real and is most likely caused by human activity. The UN's report says the world can dramatically cut greenhouse gas emissions and at a reasonable cost. The World's Matthew Bell has the story.
