Today's Geo Quiz deals with a lofty subject. The Caucasus Mountains stand as a kind of boundary line dividing Europe and Asia.

The snow and ice-capped Mount Elbrus is the highest peak in the Caucasus. At 18,500 feet -- it's the highest point in Russia, or Europe for that matter.

But we're after the name of a somewhat less lofty peak in the Caucusus. It really didn't have a name...it was a nameless peak. Until today that is. Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has the power to name mountains. The former KGB officer tipped his hat to the great tradition of Russian espionage by officially naming a 10,000 foot peak in the Caucusus --- in honor of Russia's foreign spies.
