For today's Geo Quiz we're investigating the scene of an environmental accident. Severe weather recently struck the ocean strait we're looking for today. The strait serves as a shipping lane between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

The 25 mile long waterway also divides Russia from Ukraine. A number of ships sank near the waterway during a fierce storm this weekend. One of them -- a Russian oil tanker -- was split in half by 20-foot waves and high winds.

That caused a massive spill of heavy fuel oil. A Russian environmentalist said the oil is sinking into the seabed and will take years to clean up. Dozens of sailors are still missing.

Rescue operations are being coordinated out of the nearby Russian port of Kavkaz. We'll go ahead and name the waterway where this maritime disaster is unfolding -- in just seconds.
