The wild, wild west figures in today's Geo Quiz.
OK, not the REAL wild west.
We're talking about a desert town in Spain that was used to re-create the West for the movie screen. This town is located in Europe's only desert.
That was just the look the directors of some classic Hollywood westerns were looking for. "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" starring Clint Eastwood was filmed there. So was "A Fistful of Dollars."

Nowadays, the town is a sort of theme park -- complete with western-style saloons, a sheriff's office, and stagecoaches.
The Spanish town -- and the desert -- have the same name.
That means this is a two-for-one Geo Quiz!
