When we talk about Baghdad, we're usually reporting on violence.
But today, we're looking at a tradition in one Baghdad neighborhood, a tradition that dates back to the 8th century. This week, hundreds of thousands of Shiite muslims have been making a pilgrimage to that neighborhood.
So for today's Geo Quiz, we want you to name it.
Reporter Sam Dagher was there as pilgrims arrived by bus and on foot to pray at the local shrine.
Dagher: "Basically it's a two domed shrine there are 4 minarets made out of gold so its quite magnificent looking there's a very wide plaza around the shrine itself made out of marble its highly secured now obviously with all the concerns that Shiite shrines are a target especially what happenned in Samara north of Baghdad when the 2 domes of that shrine were blown up."
This neighborhood is also the site of the joint Iraqi American military base, Camp Justice. We'll reveal the name of this Baghdad district in today's Geo Answer.
